Friends of Somerville dogs are welcome to enjoy safe and legal recreation with their dogs off-leash at the grand opening of the City's first off-leash recreational area. The Somerville Dog Owners Group will have a booth at the event.

UPDATE 6 April 2006: The City Clerk's Office will be issuing dog licenses at the Grand Opening of the OLRA at Nunziato Field. The fee is $12.00 for a dog license, or $6.00 if the dog has been spayed or neutered. Checks should be made payable to "City of Somerville." IMPORTANT—Bring the following information with you:

• evidence of the dog’s most recent rabies vaccine;
• evidence that the dog has been spayed (female) or neutered (male), if applicable.
